A small Irish PC business

Shamrock PCs started the way most of these things start: building a machine for myself, then one for a friend, then one for a friend of a friend. Word got around on Facebook Marketplace, and what began as a hobby turned into something people kept coming back to. I'm based in Malahide, Co. Dublin and I've been building and selling PCs across Ireland ever since.

The thing that keeps people coming back isn't the price, though the prices are good. It's that when you buy from a big retailer, nobody there has ever seen your machine. When you buy from me, the person who screwed it together, cabled it, tested it and boxed it is the same person answering the phone six months later when you want to know if a new graphics card will fit.

How I actually work

I'll talk you out of spending more

If you play Valorant and CS2 on a 1080p monitor, you do not need a €2,000 machine, and I'll say so. There's no commission here and no target to hit — I'd rather sell you the right build for €750 and have you tell three people about it than take €2,000 off you once.

Every part is named

Look at any prebuilt from a big brand and you'll find "550W power supply" and "1TB SSD" with no make and no model. That vagueness is deliberate, and it's where the corners get cut — a cheap unbranded PSU is exactly the part that takes the rest of the machine with it when it dies. Every component in every build on this site is listed by make and model, because I've nothing to hide behind.

New parts, current platforms

I don't sell recycled office machines with a graphics card jammed in. The builds here use current-generation AMD AM5 and Intel LGA1700 platforms with new RTX 50-series cards, which means the machine still has an upgrade path in three years instead of being a dead end the day you buy it.

Tested before it ships, not just switched on

Every build gets a memory test, a sustained CPU and GPU load soak, and thermal checks before it's signed off. Infant mortality in PC parts is real — components that fail tend to fail in the first few hours. Better that happens on my bench than in your sitting room.

What I sell

Mostly gaming PCs, from around €650 for a solid 1080p esports machine up to €2,200 for a 4K flagship. Beyond that I build workstations for video editing and 3D work, do upgrades and repairs on machines I didn't build, and take trade-ins against new builds. This site, and Facebook Marketplace, where a lot of my customers found me first. Delivery goes anywhere in Ireland, and collection can be arranged if you're near Malahide and would rather see the machine running before you pay.

Collection in Malahide

I'm based in Malahide, Co. Dublin, so if you're anywhere in north County Dublin you're welcome to call out, see the machine running and test it before any money changes hands. That covers Malahide, Portmarnock, Swords, Kinsealy, Baldoyle, Sutton, Howth, Donabate, Rush, Lusk, Skerries, Balbriggan and the surrounding areas — most of them ten or fifteen minutes away. Dublin city and the airport are both a short spin, so plenty of customers collect on their way past.
