How it's packed
A PC is a heavy box of glass and circuit boards, and couriers are couriers. So every machine goes out double-boxed with high-density foam, the graphics card either braced internally or removed and boxed separately with fitting instructions, and the side panel protected. In the rare case something does arrive damaged, take a photo before you unpack any further and ring me — it's insured and I'll sort it.
Collection
You're very welcome to collect in person and test the machine in front of me before you pay a cent. I'd honestly recommend it if you're nearby — it's the easiest way to be sure you're happy, and I can show you around the BIOS and the software while you're there. Message me to arrange a time.
Warranty
Every build comes with a 12-month warranty covering parts and labour, running from the day it's delivered or collected. If something fails in that window, it gets repaired or replaced at no cost to you, and I cover the courier in both directions.
What that looks like in practice:
- First stop is always a phone call. A good share of faults are software or a loose connection, and get fixed in ten minutes over WhatsApp without anything leaving your house.
- If it needs to come back, I arrange collection at my cost, diagnose it, and either repair it or swap the faulty part.
- If I can't fix it, you get a replacement machine of equal or better spec, or your money back. Your choice.
- Individual components usually carry a longer manufacturer warranty than my 12 months — often 2 to 3 years on GPUs and power supplies. After the first year I'll still handle the manufacturer RMA for you; I'd just ask you to cover the postage.
What the warranty doesn't cover
Accidental damage, liquid spills, drops, power surges from unprotected sockets, or damage from overclocking beyond what I set up. Opening the machine to add RAM or a drive is absolutely fine and won't void anything — just don't force anything, and give me a shout first if you're unsure.
Returns and your consumer rights
Buying online in Ireland gives you a 14-day right to cancel under the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013. That clock starts the day the PC arrives. You don't need to give a reason and you don't need my agreement.
- Tell me within 14 days of delivery that you're cancelling — email or a message is fine.
- Send the machine back within 14 days of telling me, in the condition it arrived, ideally in the original boxes.
- I refund you within 14 days of getting it back, including the original delivery cost.
- I cover the return courier. Most sellers make you pay it — I don't.
The one thing to note: if the machine comes back with obvious damage or missing parts, I can reduce the refund to reflect that. Normal testing and setting it up is completely fine — that's what the 14 days is for.
Rights that go beyond the 14 days
Separately from the cooling-off period, the Consumer Rights Act 2022 says goods sold in Ireland must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If a fault turns up that was present when you bought it, you have the right to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund — and for the first six months, the fault is presumed to have been there from the start unless I can show otherwise. Those rights are yours by law for up to six years, and nothing on this page or in my terms takes them away.
If we ever can't resolve something between us, you're entitled to bring it to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) or the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform. I'd much rather sort it directly, but you should know the option is there.
Paying
Bank transfer or Revolut for delivered orders, cash if you're collecting. For a custom build I take a deposit to cover the parts I have to order in, with the balance due before it ships — and I'll send you photos of the finished machine before you pay the rest.
Not in a position to pay it all at once? Say it to me. I'll hold a build on a deposit while you sort the rest, with no interest and no credit check. It's not a finance product, it's just how a small business should work.
Free WEEE recycling
Electrical waste is regulated in Ireland under the WEEE Directive, and old PCs shouldn't go in a skip — they contain recoverable metals and some genuinely nasty stuff.
I'll take your old machine away free of charge when I deliver the new one, on a one-for-one basis, and pass it to a registered WEEE facility. If there's anything still working in it, it gets tested and reused in a budget build rather than binned. And any drive that comes to me is securely wiped or physically destroyed before it goes anywhere — I'll confirm which in writing if you'd like.
You can also bring old electricals free of charge to any WEEE Ireland collection point or civic amenity site, whether or not you buy anything from me.
Still have a question?
Ask away — I'd rather answer ten questions before you buy than have you unsure about anything after.
